The paradox reduces to this: while technology enables us to have more immediate and rich relationships with those far from us, it sometimes impoverishes those relationships with those who are physically closest to us. As always with parenting, there is such a need to be mindful and intentional about so many things, and so little time and energy left over to be so diligent and careful.
