Jazz History Lecture Series at WDNA

Starting tomorrow night and running once a month all the way to May, WDNA's Jazz Gallery is hosting a jazz history lecture series, curated by pianist and New World School of the Arts faculty member Jim Gaisor.  Tomorrow night, September 24, Gaisor will deliver the first lecture, "The Roots of Jazz," an exploration of the 18th and 19th century music that gave birth to what we have come to call jazz.   Among lecturers in the future will be Chuck Bergeron, Rodolfo Zuniga, Shelly Berg, and Ed Calle.  Admission is free and events are hosted at WDNA building at 2921 Coral Way in Miami.  For more information and a complete listing, please visit the WDNA website.
